web-capture.net Story

One day, I wanted to grab a copy of a web site as a JPG file; not only the visible portion but all the page. I wasn't able to find anything that suited my needs.

There is some apps that can do that but this is the type of "one-shot" task for which I did not want to download and install anything.

A few days later, I came up with web-capture.net, a free online service to easily grab a capture of a web page!

If you have a problem with a link or ideas to improve these tools, feel free to send me an email at

About us

The original creator of this site was Christophe, who lives in France. He was fascinated by automating common tasks to save time. During his spare time, he created a lot of small tools that he used regularly and decided to put them online so that it can help others. This is one of those tools.

My name is Brandon. I purchased Web-Capture back in December of 2014, and I also spend my days building tools & services to automate tasks. Here are some of my projects:

  • web-capture.net: you know this one ;-)
  • Snapito Fullpage Snapshots: A web page snapshot utility similar to web-capture.net, but Snapito allows hotlinking, embedding into any web page, and advanced capture options.
  • ShrinkTheWeb Website Screenshots: Service that fully automates the capture and delivery of web page screenshots.

web-capture needs your help

This service started as a fun side project, then got a lot of attention and needed a more powerful hosting plan.
